Chearsley Village Trust

The Chearsley Village Trust was set up in December 1991 and it’s main role was to be of help to the inhabitants of Chearsley, and in the words of the deeds, “To deal with such monies and property for the purposes of the physical and mental training and recreation and social moral and intellectual development recreation and entertainment or otherwise as the Trustees may in their absolute discretion appropriate for the benefit of one or more of the inhabitants of the Parish of Chearsley in the County of Buckinghamshire”.

Some of the people and organisations that have benefited so far are include Long Crendon and Chearsley Art Group, Cuddington Chearsley and Nether Winchendon Sunshine Club, Chearsley Village Show, Chearsley Senior Citizens, Chearsley W.I. and Chearsley Under Fives.

Funds for this are mainly raised by the Village Carnival, the proceeds being split three ways between the Church, the Village Hall and the Trust - but donations are always welcome!

Applications for funds should ideally be made via the village website, but can be in writing if you are not connected to the internet. The trustees meet every 6 months to consider applications.
